Running a 5K is a fun way to kick off the weekend. An early morning jog through Red Bank, with traffic-free streets, is fantastic! There are two hills, but since it’s an out-and-back course, you end up tackling four hills. It’s quite a challenge for most of the 1,189 runners. The race starts and ends on Broad Street, which becomes “Broadwalk” for the summer. The street is closed to cars, and shops and restaurants extend into the street to welcome visitors. If you’re looking for something to do for a few hours or want to enjoy a nice outdoor dinner, check out Red Bank. And don’t forget to sign up for the Red Bank Classic 5K next year!
