The weather did not hinder the turn out for the jingle bell run downtown Toms River this afternoon. Huge success from the kiddy dash, it’s a free event I have kids that do it from 2 years old to 12 years old. Some kids that jump in run with the little kids to keep them company, a little give back to the running world, and it’s a good warm up for them if they’re doing one of the next races the one mile or the 5K. It’s a great course for kids because it’s a closed roads course so you don’t have to worry about traffic. And I got to see Santa which always makes me happy He Is more than happy to pose for pictures with anybody so it’s a great event in a lot of ways.
They have a race photographer who pretty much risks his life standing in the middle of the course so he gets a great starting and finishing photo of everybody. A giant thank you for all the race committee heads all the volunteers all the people that came out and cheered once again fantastic event.
