I just happened to search for races happening during the time I’d be in Minneapolis for work and discovered the first race of the 2026 Minneapolis Brewery Running Series fell on the day I was looking to run!

This is a great running series—races aren’t timed but courses are well marked and staffed with volunteers. You get a beer token and a piece of merch (running series or from the brewery) when you cross the finish line. They also have lots of raffles after the race. No race numbers on the bibs—instead you have to write your answer to the question of the day (which for this race was “What do you do when you see the first sign of spring in MN.”). It was a fun way to chat with a few people before the race.

Overall, It was a great event and a way for me to get a run in, explore a local brewery and a different area of the city, and meet some local runners. I highly recommend the Minneapolis Brewery Running Series if you ever find yourself in the area!
