A giant thank you to Jen and Chet for hosting the ORC 2023 Holiday Light Run Spectacular on Friday, December 22nd. What a great time! After some group pictures were taken, 2 groups departed, one of walkers and one of runners, to view all the festive holiday decorations the neighborhood had to offer. Chet was the guide for the runners, leading us on a 3 mile course filled with lights and decorations. We may have trespassed on a few lawns for photo ops! Kudos to Miss Pat for leaving a “water station” out in her driveway that included jingle bells, candy canes, and glow sticks. Back at Jen and Chet’s, there was hot chocolate, cakes, cookies, and so many other treats! After all, isn’t that one of the reasons we run…so we can eat all the treats! It was a great night with a lot of the regulars, plus some new faces. We even had Hanna and Alex from North Carolina in the house. And a surprise visit from our Florida friend, Sabrina! Again, it was a great time. Merry Christmas, ORC members! I hope Santa brings you everything you are dreaming of!
