Group meet running are group runs organized by members, which offer the opportunity to explore new routes and discover scenic locations while enjoying the company of fellow runners. They are throughout Ocean County.

Random thoughts of a Runner
As the alarm blares at 4:45 AM, my body protests, but my mind is already lacing up my shoes. The crisp morning air, and the quiet boardwalk is my playground. Every step is a reminder that I'm alive, strong, and capable. The world is still asleep, but I’m wide awake, carving out a piece of the day that’s solely mine.

Red Bank 5k Classic
Running a 5K is a fun way to kick off the weekend. An early morning jog through Red Bank, with traffic-free streets, is fantastic! There are two hills, but since it's an out-and-back course, you end up tackling four hills. It's quite a challenge for most of the 1,189 runners. The race starts and ends on Broad Street, which becomes "Broadwalk" for the summer. The street is closed to cars, and shops and restaurants extend into the street to welcome visitors. If you're looking for something to do for a few hours or want to enjoy a nice outdoor dinner, [...]

Running is more than just a physical activity; it's a journey of self-discovery, perseverance, and triumph. Each step you take, whether it's on a serene trail or a bustling city street, is a testament to your determination and inner strength. Imagine the crisp morning air filling your lungs, the sound of your feet hitting the pavement, and the world waking up around you. In these moments, you’re not just moving forward; you’re connecting with a part of yourself that craves challenge and growth. Running strips away the distractions and lets you focus on what truly matters—your goals, your dreams, and [...]
My Escape the Cape experience
I'm writing this blog about being a first-timer at the Escape the Cape event, hoping to help anyone who might be on the fence about participating. Saturday Morning As a member of the ORC, there's a strong sense of camaraderie among the triathletes. Everyone is welcoming and eager to help, which I really appreciated. We all met early on Saturday morning for breakfast at Uncle Bill's before heading to the expo for packet pickup. Everyone was chatting about the day and what to expect on Sunday (Race Day). After breakfast, we went to the expo, got our packets, and racked [...]
