2024 Ocean Running Club’s Summer Series
Join us for the 2024 ORC Summer Series starting on Tuesday, June 25th, and continuing on July 2nd, 9th, with the final event on July 16th. Schedule: Kids' Races: 1-mile and 1/2-mile races begin promptly at 6:30 PM. 5K Race: Open to all ages and paces, starting immediately after the kids' races. Awards: Top 3 overall male and female finishers. 1st place awards in 10-year age groups. All 5K finishers will receive a medal! Red Bank 5k Classic
Running a 5K is a fun way to kick off the weekend. An early morning jog through Red Bank, with traffic-free streets, is fantastic! There are two hills, but since it's an out-and-back course, you end up tackling four hills. It's quite a challenge for most of the 1,189 runners. The race starts and ends on Broad Street, which becomes "Broadwalk" for the summer. The street is closed to cars, and shops and restaurants extend into the street to welcome visitors.
