Meet Up for a Group Run
Group meet running are group runs organized by members, which offer the opportunity to explore new routes and discover scenic locations while enjoying the company of fellow runners. They are throughout Ocean County.
Running with a group provides a sense of accountability and motivation. When you commit to meeting up with a group, you’re more likely to stick to your running routine and stay consistent with your training.

Time to get back on track with workouts for your 2024 running events. Join us on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM for an hour of loosely organized training workouts or run/walk according to your own plan. Meet on the “home team “ side of Toms River South High School track. Bring water, timing device and energy! Great way to improve and have fun running on this great track surface!
Ocean Running Club weekend recap
The Ocean Running Club had a bustling start to April. To kick things off, many ORC members dedicated their time to volunteering instead of racing. We collaborated with our friends from the Jersey Shore Running Club to support the Runaplooza Marathon Relay. On Friday afternoon, a group of team members diligently placed directional arrows along the course for the runners. Endurance Sports . . . a family thing
Tails of an injured runner with a family who loves endurance sports ! Hanna and Chet both had scheduled races this past weekend both in NC. I am injured with a hurt hip and broken foot ! Which puts me in the RV with some views of Chet’s race. I was able to track Hanna through her Garmin app since she was on the other side of the state. Hanna’s race was Mt Mitchell Heartbreaker 55k. Group Runs
At Thursdays Club meeting a discussion came up on group runs. Don it trying to get a Sunday run group going on the Seaside boardwalk, Rudy would like to start one off Monday evenings @ 6:00 pm alternating locations the River to Bay 5K and the Pine Beach 5K coarse and maybe adding some other spots. Group runs only will succeed if more than one or two runners participate. Mondays may not be the perfect day so let's hear your thoughts on day or days of the week, do you prefer mornings or evening runs ?
