It was a full and fantastic day of racing and riding for many in the club!
Shoutout to the powerhouse husband-and-wife team, Larry and Laurie Perlburg, who both brought home hardware at the Laurel Lakes Triathlon. Larry took 1st place in his age group in the Sprint, and Laurie did the same in the Super Sprint. Double podiums, double the pride — well done!
Over on two wheels, a group of ORC cyclists — Rudy, Sandy, Jane, Jim, Carol, Jen, Chet, and Tim — took on the Spellbound Century Ride, enjoying scenic country roads and plenty of summer sunshine. Along the route, riders stopped at three different local farm stands, where they could purchase fresh goodies and have them conveniently sent back to the start. Talk about riding with perks!
At the finish, the reward was just as sweet — pizza, beer, hot dogs, Italian ice, and other delicious post-ride treats waiting for everyone to enjoy.
Great job to all who participated — from triathlon triumphs to century smiles, you made it a day
