CHANGE: The Path Forward for ORC

Change isn’t always easy—but it’s always necessary. For runners and for our club, growth only happens when we’re willing to take that next step forward.

In recent years, the Ocean Running Club had been sitting still—but that’s changed. We’ve started moving forward again, embracing new ideas and new energy.. New group runs have formed, new members have joined, new events have taken shape, and new ideas have pushed us into exciting directions. None of that happens by staying the same. It happens because we choose change.

If we don’t adapt, we stay stagnant—same routines, same paths, same old results. But ORC has never been about standing still. We’re about momentum. We’re about encouraging each other to try new things, meet new people, and step outside our comfort zones—whether that means joining your first group run, signing up for a race you never thought you’d do, or taking on a volunteer role that helps strengthen our community.

Change is how we grow as runners, and it’s how we grow as a club.

As we look ahead, ORC is embracing that spirit of change:

  • Expanding group runs and welcoming new faces

  • Building fresh traditions while honoring longtime ones

  • Growing our team of volunteers and leaders

  • Strengthening bonds within the running community

  • Creating new opportunities for runners of all levels

Every small change we make—every idea, every step, every new member—helps shape the future of the Ocean Running Club.

So here’s to change.
Here’s to growth.
Here’s to all of us moving forward together.

Because ORC doesn’t stand still.
We run forward.
