As many of you know, the trail conditions at Winding River Park are no longer the safest option for runners. Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited to officially announce a NEW HOME for the ORC Summer Series:
The Barnegat Rail Trail, starting at Hebrew Park in Lacey!
But why wait until summer to check it out?
Introducing the Chilly Cheeks Summer Series Preview Run
A summer course… in the middle of winter!
This is NOT a race—just a fun, social run to get familiar with the new route and enjoy miles with friends.
Choose your adventure:
Run the 5K, or
Add some bonus miles if you’re feeling good and want to explore more of the trail.
The course is a straight out-and-back, so there’s zero chance of getting lost—just turn around when you’ve had enough winter fun.
