Thursday Night Lights at CBA!

Thursday late afternoon, the place to be was Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ! As the day cooled down, the track at CBA was heating up.

The night kicked off at 5:15 PM with the first of 12 heats—the 8-minute-plus mile group—before moving into the kids’ 14-and-under division. That race was packed with determined young runners, from speedy teens to the tiniest competitors giving it their all to cross the finish line.

Spectators filled the stands and lined the fence for a close-up view of the action. Ocean Running Club was proudly represented by Rudy R., Larry P., John D., Phil C., Jeff G., Jim C., and Rick L. It was inspiring to watch our guys take on the challenge of this beautiful track while we cheered them on.

The grand finale of the evening showcased some of the fastest runners in the country—and they did not disappoint. Olympic athletes flew around the oval, with several breaking the elusive 4-minute mile barrier.

It was an unforgettable night of racing at CBA. If you haven’t experienced it yet, make sure to add this event to your “Must Do” list for 2026!
