Welcome to The Ocean Running Club

Meet Up for a Group Run
Group meet running are group runs organized by members, which offer the opportunity to explore new routes and discover scenic locations while enjoying the company of fellow runners. They are throughout Ocean County.
Running with a group provides a sense of accountability and motivation. When you commit to meeting up with a group, you’re more likely to stick to your running routine and stay consistent with your training.

We will have a workout planned or feel free to create your own.

Volunteering at Ocean Gate 5K
If you've never volunteered at a race, it's hard to grasp all the effort it takes. There are many moving parts and people involved, but it's absolutely worth it in the end. The 2024 Ocean Gate 5K, led by a new race director, saw tremendous support from Knight Fitness, the Ocean Running Club, the Town of Ocean Gate, the Sheriff's department, and the local police. The neighborhood was incredibly accommodating. It's so rewarding to give back—cheering on tired or overheated runners and offering encouragement was met with abundant gratitude. Summer Series Week #2
Week two was an absolute blast! Despite a sinkhole on the parkway, we had a great race. Dave Duff treated us to delicious watermelon, and Miss Mindy's homemade ice cream was a delightful surprise—so good that the winner kept going back for more! The weather was perfect, making for a happy group of runners. A big thank you to all our fantastic volunteers.
