ORC Member Sarah Knight
It’s been a week..(almost) spent this week with my head down trying to process the Boston Marathon. For 18 weeks I committed to the program, sacrificed, recovered and dialed in my nutrition. I was READY. My heart is still shattered with the how the race went. If you know me I’m incredibly competitive with myself and hard on myself. But I wouldn’t be the person I am without these attributes. Weather is an uncontrollable circumstance and unfortunately I was just unprepared for 70+ temperatures in early April. I’ve had a lot of people tell me they would “kill for my [...]

Ocean Running Club weekend recap
The Ocean Running Club had a bustling start to April. To kick things off, many ORC members dedicated their time to volunteering instead of racing. We collaborated with our friends from the Jersey Shore Running Club to support the Runaplooza Marathon Relay. On Friday afternoon, a group of team members diligently placed directional arrows along the course for the runners. The following morning, our team showed up in full force to assist with registration check-in, set up the starting line, and man the water stops. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved for making the race kickoff possible. After [...]
Cycling Season it almost here
Its almost that time, no not OWS yet but your close, time to wax up your chain, check out the brakes, put some air into those tires. Taking care of your bike and ensuring it's in good condition is definitely essential for a smooth and enjoyable ride. Getting a tune-up at Brielle Cycles sounds like a smart move to ensure everything is in top shape. And yes, keeping an eye out for posts about upcoming biking events and rides is a great way to stay informed and get involved in the ORC biking community. Starting a slower riding group for [...]

It started at 7am at Camp Grier which is the foot of the mountains in Old Fort, NC according to the race description itself it’s “quad busting, [...]
